Special Education

At Shiner ISD, we believe every child deserves an education filled with opportunity, support, and encouragement. Our Special Education Department is committed to providing child-centered programming that is accessible to all students, regardless of race, gender, economic background, or physical, emotional, or cognitive abilities.

We are proud to have an exceptional team of special education professionals who genuinely love and care for every child they serve. Our staff works tirelessly to create nurturing, inclusive learning environments where students feel valued, supported, and empowered to reach their full potential.

Our mission is to prepare students for future education, meaningful employment, and independent living by fostering both academic achievement and social-emotional growth. Through individualized support and collaborative partnerships with families, we ensure that each student receives the tools and encouragement needed to succeed.

Special Education at Shiner ISD is a vital support system designed to provide a free and appropriate public education to students with diverse learning needs. In accordance with federal and state laws, we serve students with identified disabilities by offering specialized instruction, accommodations, and services that promote educational progress and personal success.

At Shiner ISD, we are dedicated to helping every child thrive — because every child matters, and every child belongs.
