The Center for Parenting Education is an excellent resource to help parents create a home environment where children can become caring, confident and responsible.

The Recovery Village can provide support for parents who have a child dealing with drug or alcohol addiction.

Bullying, Cyberbullying and Student Safety

Shiner ISD offers the AnonymousAlerts resource to allow anyone to anonymously report incidents on campus or online.

Shiner ISD promotes Kindness to all students, but bullying may still occur despite our best efforts.  Please contact your child's campus if you feel that they are being bullied, or utilize the AnonymousReports system.  StopBullying.gov is a great resource to help kids or their parents get more help.

When it comes to bullying and sexting, the Texas School Safety Center offers a variety of helpful safety resources, such as "Before You Text: A Bullying and Sexting Course""Sexting: How to Talk to Kids About the Risks" is an informative article from HealthyChildren.org than can help parents discuss the topic of sexting with their children.

Remember, the best place to discourage and teach against bullying is in the HOME.  The Cyber Security and Digital Responsibility resource from the Texas School Safety Center can help parents make sure their children are using today's technology safely and responsibly.
