From the Superintendent
Hello Shiner ISD Staff, Students, and Parents,
It is an honor and a privilege to serve you as the superintendent of Shiner ISD.
As an educator for the past 23 years, I have dedicated my life to serving students, staff, parents, and community members, ensuring that all students have a safe, positive, and successful learning experience. To help our students reach their full potential, we must foster a strong partnership among our staff, parents, and community members, with high student achievement as our shared goal.
We do not enroll students at Shiner ISD; we enroll families. We want this to be a place that launches our students into life and helps them to accomplish their dreams. We do not want our schools to feel like something our kids have to get through. Our goal is their experience in school is a positive one with strong instruction as our anchor and high achievement as the result.
This year will be my first year serving at Shiner ISD. Previously, I served as the Student Services Director at Belton ISD and as a high school principal for 11 years at Rogers ISD. I began my career in Bartlett, where I taught English Language Arts and served as a coach. I coached for five years, two of which I served as the athletic director in Bartlett. My wife, Beth, and I have two beautiful children, Jo Lee(17) and Luke Edward(14).
If I can assist you in any way, please do not hesitate to call or e-mail me.
I look forward to meeting each of you as we continue the rich traditions of Shiner ISD and work together to make Shiner ISD the best school in Texas!
Go Comanches!!!
